Croatias inflation estimated
According to the 2008-2010 Pre-accession Economic Program (PEP) adopted by the outgoing government, realistic growth of Croatia's GDP in this year would reach 6%, which represents an increase of 1,2% compared to the growth recorded in 2006, 'Croatia Today' reports. PEP added that average annual inflation would increase from 2,5% in 2007 to 3,1% in 2008, which would be a consequence of inflation transfer from the previous year.
Finance Minister Ivan Suker said that PEP stipulates further fiscal consolidation, which should yield in 2010 a fiscal surplus of 0,2% of the GDP, while the public debt in the GDP should also decrease from 44,9% in 2007 to 37% in 2010.
