500,000th visitor in 2007 year
On 3 August 2007, Plitvice Lakes National Park received its 500,000th visitor this year, seven days earlier than in the preceding two years. The half-millionth guests were a young couple from Paris: Sabastian Hannavr (32), a hospitality worker, and Sonia Buchard (29), an employee of a communications company. This was the couple's first visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park, and they learned about the park in the Guide to Croatia.
The half-millionth guests were greeted by a delegation of the Plitvice Lakes National Park: spokesperson Vlatka Ružić, marketing director Krešimir Čulinović, sales director Miroslav Luketić and manager of the visitor reception division Ivica Luketić.
The park administration presented the couple with a gift package of promotional materials and free entry tickets for the park.
