Building in Cavtat

Album: Cavtat, Region: Dalmatia Dubrovnik Riwiera

Towards the sea line high Konavlian cliffs descent to Prevlaka bay, Molunat and Cavtat. The variety of landscapes Konavle offers have preserved a special harmony between nature, cultivated and cultural tradition of the wealthy agricultural industry, indigenous stone architecture, statues and sacral objects, and a rich folk tradition whose lovely and harmonious attributes finds their expression in Konavles folk costume and the beautiful women who wear them. Konavle can be experienced and enjoyed in many different ways: country/agro tourism, traditional folk performances, walks/bike rides and excursions to historically significant areas, archeological sites, fortifications, including the visit to Ljuta stream. Cavtat is the most southern town in Croatia, and the most practical way to reach the town is by air. The City of Cavtat has a population of some 1,500 inhabitants, and is itself part of the Dubrovnik Riviera. In the deep south of the Croatian coastline is the Dubrovnik region whose centre, the city of Dubrovnik, in Croatia and across the world bears the title of the Pearl of the Adriatic.
