The best known and most valuable ancient monument is to be sure the Arena, the majestic colloseum dating from the second century, the sixth largest in the world. As a tourist center, Pula offers a large number of various cultural and entertainment events throughout the year. Pula is a town and port in the south-western part of Istria. Situated in the inner part of a bay, divided by the islands of St. Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea.
